Nicole Crowder Upholstery is growing and would love to have you join the team.
What you'll do:
-Strip furniture (removing fabric, nails, nail heads, and all parts that comprise up a chair)
-Occasionally do a store run to pick up notions (buttons, welt cord, thread, etc) from the fabric store or Ace Hardware for extra nail heads, paint, staples, etc.
-Occasionally being asked to pick up a very small chair from clients to deliver to studio in Van Ness.
-Must be available to work two days out of the week maximum, with flexibility on which days work best for your schedule.
-Must be available to assist for at least 3 hours per day each of those two days between 9-5pm.
-Assisting with upholstery workshop preparations (setting out tools, materials, etc)
-You will not be tasked with answering studio e-mails or phones.
Who You Are:
-Detailed-oriented and hard worker who values time management (both in arriving on time as well as working quickly and efficiently to maximize workload within a certain time frame).
-Organized, self-sufficient problem solver.
-Previous experience working in furniture or interior design is not a requirement. However, a positive and friendly but focused attitude is as we will be working in close quarters together for a few hours at a time.
-District residents are preferred, but very open to applicants from across the DMV. Access to a car is also preferred.
