About Nicole Crowder // Designer Upholsterer editor


With over ten years in the design industry, Nicole Crowder is an acclaimed designer, upholsterer, editor/writer, and curator. She is currently based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota.

Nicole’s designs and story have been profiled in renowned publications like Architectural Digest, Martha Stewart Living, Elle Decor, Better Homes & Gardens, Business of Home, Domino, Design Milk, The Washington Post, Midwest Living, and more.
Her work has been featured on acclaimed HBO television series Insecure, and has been acquired by historical museums.


In 2022 Nicole released her first custom furniture collection with World Market that was featured in all 200 of their US retail stores and online. She collaborates with brands that span across advertising, hospitality, fashion and television to create modern heirlooms and redefine space making.

In addition to her furniture work, Nicole also serves as the Editor-At-Large for MSP Home & Design Magazine and writes for various print and online outlets, including Aspire magazine, The Washington Post, and more.

A consummate sharer, Nicole also hosts and leads the popular upholstery workshop-retreats to teach individuals the trade of upholstery.
